How it works
Hourly wage = annual salary ÷ (hours per week × weeks per year). A full-time year is 40 × 52 = 2,080 hours. Monthly pay is salary ÷ 12 and biweekly is salary ÷ 26. All amounts are before taxes.
Worked example
$52,000 a year at 40 hours a week for 52 weeks: $52,000 ÷ 2,080 = $25.00 an hour, $1,000 a week, $2,000 every two weeks, and $4,333.33 a month.
