How it works

Your retirement date is your birth date plus the age you choose. Not sure what age to use? US full Social Security retirement age is 67 for anyone born in 1960 or later. The retirement age calculator works it out for your birth year.

Worked example

Born June 15, 1970 and retiring at 67: the retirement date is June 15, 2037. On October 21, 2026 that's 3,889 days away, about 555 weeks.
